Heat Sun Dark
Have you seen UV filter film for windows which keeps cold and heat out in winter/summer but still lets sun in?
A decade ago I found a kind of window film in a catalog, which you applied to the window with a water/detergent solution and left on it as long as you want. It kept heat from moving through the window-- kept winter's cold out and summer's heat out too-- but it still let light in quite well, such that sunlight still came through as sunlight.

but their film seems so dark. Has anyone found what I had before? I looove the sun in my eyes but my 2-window bedroom is 20 degrees cooler than the rest of the house and I keep catching cold!!
Lowe's and the depot have a section of window films for sale with samples in the home decor dept. usually around the mirrors.i like the film you can put in the bath room that lets light in but you can not see in or the stain glass look.they can also order for you what you want.
