Skincare Questions About Best Facial Skincare

James asks…
Face spot skin scars?
I'm a bad person who used to squeeze spots, mostly large blackheads. I have cut down and now only get the ones that stick out. I have alos got a facial skincare routine.
Anyway, I have some noticed some scars on my chin- they kinda look like large open pores, or places where the skin has just sunk. I also have red patches and some grey patches. What is the best way of caring for these to fill in the scars/pores, or get rid of the red/grey patches??
Thanks

Joann answers:
Have you tried bio oil?
I used it for scars, stretch mark and blemishes left on my skin from chicken pox and measles and you can barely notice the marks anymore..
It helps to revive your skin and make it look brighter at the same time..
You can get it at most pharmacies and it is relatively inexpensive.
It can also be bought online very cheap..

Daniel asks…
I have some problems...what is the best solution?
ok...i have some problems mainly with the facial area...
first...my eyes are always yellow-red....i eat healthy..i stay away from beta carotene...i always wear sunglasses....i drink enough water...enough rest..all the good stuff..i dont use the eye drops becasue when i do..they give me a great dependancy for them...and when i dont use them...redness is worse.
second...my acne isnt TOO bad..its just bad....it leaves scars bumps...red blotches.....uneven colored skin...etc...
what can i to..i use Avon skincare....all the skin care stuff...it helps...but it doesnt rid me of the problem...what do i do?
finally....i have a bad bad blackhead problem..i use facial scrubs....etc...and..it works for a while..then a few hours later...the blackheads are back...what do i do about this...and....i would prefer an "at home" method
please be as detailed as possible...thank you very much

Joann answers:
As for your eyes problems, i advice u to go to the doctor.
Acne- use specific skin care product to target areas. Basic tinks u nd to do everyday is wash, then tone, then norish ur skin. If its day time, its a muz to have sunblock & dis will not worsen ur uneven skin colour. To improve tt problem, use a skin lotion[those non oily type or water base ones] tt whiten ur skin. A whiten lotion will balance up ur skin colour. Oso, mix lemon juice with cursh cucumber n apply on ur face 3 times per week. U can oso use mask tt tone up skin colour
as for ur ance, it is cause by oil? If yes use a toner tt control oil. A toner remove impurity on skin and close up pore aft washin. Hence it can greatly control the amount of oil secrete by skin pore. When all dis is control, all the redness is going to dissapear in abt few weeks to months depend on ur skin. Since ur redness is not too bad. U can use a concealer/colour correcter which is a type of makeup used to cover pimples, redness, dark circles and other small blemishes visible on the skin. Also i use to have a lot of pimples too. But after drinking a type of tea, the pimples start to stop appearing. It is a type of cooling tea, made of chinese herb. The most important ingredient in the tea is bitter gourd. Pimples maybe cause by heatness in the body [r u chinese? If u r u shd know abt dis], drinking the tea will'cool down' ur body. I use a pimple cream, brand is LOUIS SKIN CLINIC, T40 ANTI ANCE TONER. U can try tt.
As for ur blackhead problem, u can use a black head remover where u can buy from sasa, brand is naris up cosmetics. It comes in a natural pack pre essence tt soften skin around pore to help remove back head n plug n a natural pack point pack tt remove ur plug. After using this product. Apply toner to close up ur pore immediately to prevent blackhead growing again so fast

Helen asks…
whats toner for?
what is toner for - is it really neccesary to use as part of your daily skincare routine? i have a fairly oily 't-zone' and a few of those pimply spots on my cheeks- is it because im not using toner and just using water and facial scrub and then a moisturiser?
whats the best way to get clear skin?

Joann answers:
It sounds like you have combination skin. Toner is great to use, if you have a moisturizer to use after it. Toner is to help clear the pores, and help with blackheads. I would use bath and body works lotion, that stuff is amazing. Not the scented stuff, but they have a Bath and Body works brand, and the name is something like Rice, and it works amazingly! I used to use sea breeze toner, but plain old witch hazel works much better, so I switched. Washing your face, then using the toner after drying it, then waiting for a couple of minutes, and then using the lotion works really well. I also recommend Neutrogena face wash, it isn't as tough on your skin as some face washes are. (the lotion isn't as expensive as clinique, but it is $18.00, but it works better than most lotions)

Charles asks…
how do men feel about facials?
would you be more likley to have one if it was called an exfoliation treatment. Would you have one eitherway if it was a gift.
I own a clinic and want to find out the best way to introduce men to skincare.

Joann answers:
My husband is one who really wants to try out a facial after I have convinced him that exfoliation is great for your skin.
So I think it would be great if you called it a exfoliation treatment rather than a facial. Men will go for it like that.

William asks…
Do women feel comfortable with male aestheticians?
For years, I've been thinking about a major career move. I have this idea of becoming an anti-aging specialist. I've discovered three different schools and or courses that would help me achieve this goal.
I would have to become a qualified personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine, go to school for aesthetics (figured Skin Science in Utah might be the best choice) and receive a certification from the American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine.
With all of these combined, I'd plan to open my own practice. Rather unique, because I actually have a passion for health, fitness, skincare etc. One Problem!
How do women feel about having a male aesthetician? No waxing or make-up, although that's in the curriculum, but I'd be more concerned with doing facial services, skin evaluations and various other spa treatments, along with doing personal training sessions, and teaching fitness classes.
The idea is to help others maintain and preserve their natural beauty without drugs or medical procedures.
In my mind, this could be really exciting, and an extremely lucrative business. I just want to know what the women think, considering spa and wellness is a female dominated industry.
Be honest.

Joann answers:
Although I have never had a male aesthetician, it wouldn't matter to me if the individual was male or female, just as long as they provide great service.
