Skincare Questions About Best Facial Skincare Products

Mandy asks…

whats a good regimine to have flawless facial skin?

I used to just wash my face with soap and deal with blemishes.

Now when I shower I use noxemas /w microbeeds cream and my skin is improving very well. When I'm done with showering I put a regular aloe moisturizer and thats it. My skin is normally more dry then oily, so it seems I'm going in the right direction.

I never researched nor went to a dermatologist to get precise info on skincare and best products. I just know that retin-a is considered miraculous by most in the medical community and used it when I was a teen when I had acne.

I know girls goto spas and get masks and blackheads removed but imagine I don't have to go to those lengths for achieving the goal those fine honeys achieve.

On occasion I scrape the corner of my nail, painfully, allover my nose so theres no blackheads, I can deal. I bought those stick pads once for blackheads, and am not to fond of them. .

Joann answers:

Just use a cleanser thats good for dry skin and same with mousteriser (make sure it won't clog pores) don't use those strip things for your nose they donn't work and damage your skin just use a scrub twice a week

also eat healthy food and drink plenty of water

Sandra asks…

Is it worth buying organic skin care products?

I was checking out a web site (can't remember the name! Sorry!)

And it was a listing for every over the counter product on the market for Hair care & skin care. Each product is measured on scale from 0-10, 0 being the best, 10 being the worst. Most of the products I use for my skin falls in the middle (Moderate Hazard) with the exception of my Carmex lip balm (they said it was EXTREMELY hazardous to my health because of the ingredients)
Now I have made a step forward in terms of an organic lifestyle. (I drink organic milk and eat organic eggs. I've stopped relaxing my hair almost 2 years ago and use organic products in my hair)But I am afraid of trying to switch to Organic products in terms of skin care.

I have had acne for 11 years and it has ranged from a mild case of zits to a horrible case of Cystic acne on my back, chest and face that has left scarring and dark marks. I feel like for the first time in a long time I have some control over it.

1. I drink alot of water.
2. I use Dial Gold Bar soap to wash my body.
3. For my face Noxzema Triple Clean Antibacterial Wash, Noxzema Triple Clean Acne pads, Neutrogena's Invigorating foaming scrub and Retin-A.
(I know that is alot for my face, but nothing else has worked up to this point!)
4. To moisturize I just use Cetaphil Moisturizing Body lotion and the facial moisturizer with SPF 15.

But according to this website, I shouldn't be using any of my skin products because of the risks with the ingredients.

I fear that if I start to experiment with Organic skincare products, all of the Acne I fought to get rid of will come back tenfold!

Not to mention I'm on a very strict budget!

But I would like to use more Organic products in the future, but I'm afraid they will not serve their purpose and I will be stuck with bad skin and empty pockets!

What should I do?

Joann answers:

Personally, the fewer chemicals and junk in my products the better, my body doesn't seem to like them very much. You'd be amazed at what little gifts nature has hidden in the world and how well they work. And you'd probably be surprised how many pharmaceuticals are made from plants (ephdra for example has been used in China for 5000 years to treat asthma and other respiratory aliments, I used it two months ago to treat a very severe asthma attack I was considering going to the hospital for).

I like Burt's Bee's, it's more natural than a lot of other products out there but isn't that expensive. Just go online and see what you can find, Tea Tree Oil is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide but without the harsh side effects. You can make your own products which in the long run will cost you less.

Betty asks…

Help a copywriter choose his slogan. Pick 1 to 7?

I have to write a slogan about a range of skincare products, designed for different types of skin. They're very natural, so I've tried to work that into the slogan, but I'm not sure if it works.

Best wishes, lots of thanks, and two points for every answer. Just type 1 to 7 to express your choice. Feel free to offer alternatives.

1Facial Skincare. For every type of skin
2Facial Skincare. Whatever the nature of your skin
3Facial Skincare. For each nature of skin
4Find the facial skincare that matches the nature of your skin
5Facial skincare to match every nature
6Facial skincare to match every nature of skin
7Facial skincare. For every nature of skin

Joann answers:

"No matter the Nature of ur skin..Facial SkinCare will Match"

Charles asks…

cheap facial washes/scrubs/masks that actually WORK?

i have tried using clean and clear products, but nothing seems to help my blackheads or ever make much of a difference at all. i am looking to change my skincare routine, and i need suggestions. what are the best cheap drugstore products for your face that actually work at clearing up your skin?

Joann answers:

I use St. Ives Apricot Face scrub....its like $3 and works great. Its one of the products that is awarded as a best buy by Allure magazine almost every year! Try Biore strips to help blackheads on your nose...I think they have blackhead strips for your forehead too. Aveeno foaming facewash is good too. Nothing I have mentioned is over $10. Hope that helps!

Thomas asks…

What is the best over-the-counter system for Acne?

I am 19 years old, and I began to break out badly from time to time after the age of 17. It seems that I have 1 pimple a day, and on bad days, 3 or more a day, ranging from big, inflamed pimpled, to smaller, less inflamed pimples. I have tried Clinique products, Proactiv, and other facial cleansers/toners/clarifying lotions from counters at the dept. store. My skin is combination/oily so my cheeks are usually comfortable but can get oily at times, and my chin/t-zone is always oily. Please, if you are an aesthetician, dermatologist, or any other skincare professional, your advice is very very appreciated.

Joann answers:

Clean and clear spot treatment seems to work =]
