I want to start using organic products......
Thank you everyone for such great answers... I will be looking into all of these. I also like the idea of using apple vinegar and olive oil but might skip the vinegar.....a good sugar scrub might be olive oil and sugar.... I also have heard of using honey on the face.... thanks everyone!!!!
It's going to be hard to choose a best answer...
Thanks for the discounts and coupon code too....

Joann answers:
A majority of Burt Bee's products are at least 98.6% natural. I haven't bought anything from tobenatural.com yet, but if you use code: GCN you get 10% off. I heard an ad on Alex Jones radio show for it, and they advertise a lot of great natural products there.

Paul asks…
whats the difference between natural skincare products like verissima and organic ones?
and where can i get natural skincare stuff in lutterworth

Joann answers:
Beware of companies that claim they have "natural" products. Be sure to check out their ingredient list and that will tell you if it is truly natural, or if it's just a couple natural things mixed with a bunch of petro-chemicals. Some big chemicals to look out for that are classified as toxic are:
Mineral Oil
Petrolaum
Methyl, Propyl, Buytl and Ethyl Parabens
Imidazolidinyl Urea and Diazolidinyl Urea (AKA: Germall II and Germall 115)
Propylene Glycol
Retinyl Palmitate
Soduim Lauryl/ Laureth Sulfate (SLS or SLES)
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)
Magnesium Silicate (TALC)
Diethanolamine (DEA), Monoethanolamine (MEA) and Triethanolamine (TEA)
Formaldehyde
Quaternium-15
Isopropyl Alcohol
Artificial/Synthetic Colors (labeled as FD&C or D&C, followed by a color and number)
Artificial/Synthetic Fragrances (labeled as "Fragrance")
PVP/VA Copolymer
Stearalkonium Chloride
Phthalate(s) - Common Names: DEHP, DINP, DBP, DEP, DIP
Those are just a few of the thousands of toxic synthetic chemicals that our goverment allows manufacturers of cosmetics and personal care products to put into their products.

To answer your question though, truly "natural" products have 100% natural ingredients (ingredients that are not synthetic and that are derived from the earth) and NO chemicals whatsoever. A couple good companies that stand up to their claim of having all-natural products are Aubrey Organics (www.aubreyorganics.com) and Terressentials (www.terressentials.com).
One of the definitions of Organic is: of, relating to, yielding, or involving the use of food or products produced with the use of feed or fertilizer of plant or animal origin without employment of chemically formulated fertilizers, growth stimulants, antibiotics, or pesticides.
Hope this helps.

Linda asks…

Joann answers:

Most of their products are USDA Certified Organic.

Donald asks…
Are there any good all-natural (or mostly natural) skincare products for normal/dry, acne-prone skin?
I asked this question before, but I kept getting answers like "Neutrogena works wonders" or "St. Ives is sooo natural" (uh, actually, no... not even close), and even suggestions to use Proactiv (do I really have to touch on that one? too drying even with a heavy moisturizer).
I think that the chemicals in skin products are only worsening my acne and drying my face out (although it is winter, it is always this dry). I don't mind a chemical lower in the ingredient list, but I don't want a product based on artificiality.
*I asked this earlier in a different category, but got NO answers

Joann answers:
Lush products are great! They are handmade and natural. I had spotting on my face and now after about 3 weeks its pretty clear now. I use the Coalface soap once in the morning and once at night, Tea tree toner every morning, and a small bit of vanishing cream moisturizer in the morning and night
They tend to be a bit pricey, but compared to these chemical acne treatments on the market, its a good deal

Thomas asks…
Does anyone know any All Natural Skincare products that give you perfect skin? (Anti-Acne)?

Joann answers:
Physician's Formula is an all-natural makeup that has minerals and is dermatologist approved for clear skin and sun exposure. They have a wide variety of products. From loose powder to bronzer and blush that also acts as an eyeshadow palette. This brand is sold at many different stores: Target, Longs Drugs, Walgreens, etc. It is also inexpensive. Most of the products are around $10. Hope this helps!
