Skincare Questions About Shiseido Skincare

Ruth asks…

Emphasizing on skincare which brand(s), can you answer the following questions?

Brands: Aveeno, Biore, Clean and Clear, Clinique, Kiss My Face, La Prairie, Neutrogena, Olay, Sk-II, and Shiseido.

Questions:
> What is your skin type (combination, sensitive, oily, etc)?
> Which brand(s) do you use? Why?
> Which products of the brand(s) do you use?

I have sensitive and very oily skin, if you could please help, which brand would you recommend me using? What product(s) should I buy?

If there is anything else you would like to share (that's related to the topic), do share!

Joann answers:

Hi

I have found one product (Aveda Firming Fluid). It is known to be a good moisturizer. It is said that it can make the skin soft and smooth. Check this out http://www.bestantiwrinklecreamreviews.com/aveda-firming-fluid-review.php. You can also see some other products in that website. I hope this can help.

Sharon asks…

Champneys Spa Skincare ?

I used to use the brand Champneys (spa) skincare. But then moved to Shiseido, its really nice but quite expensive for what it is. I really liked the champneys line and it was really good for money and am thinking to go back to it but alot of people dont seem to like it. What does everyone else think ?
Thanks x

Joann answers:

I've tried Shiseido and find there are much better brands out there. It all depends on your skin type, but I'd say dermatologica and DDF are much better x x x

Mandy asks…

Is Shiseido skin care good?

I'm currently 14 years old and I've decided that I should start a good skincare regime young so I won't regret it later on haha. I am Asian and I have dry cheeks and normal T-zone in the winter and normal cheeks and oily T-zone in the summer. Advice on Shiseido products/lines? Or any other skincare brands made for asian skin preferably? I am currently using drugstore cleanser and toners and Clinique moisturizers. Thank you!
Also, Shiseido is not made for only mature skin. They have two lines for younger skin. Pureness line for teenagers with oil problems and The Skincare for normal skin (I think that's me).

Joann answers:

Yes deas- this is a great skin care product but 1. Can be pricey and 2 is made for women who have a bit more mature skin. Your skin if still young and fresh and is what older women use products such as Shiseido for. Preventative actions are the best though so bravo to you for starting early. I am 31 and have been using Clinique since i was 16 and people still ask me if i am 22 and are constantly complimenting me on my skin. Clinique is my favorite because 1. I has products that are gentle and effective regardless to what your age or skin type (even if it runs the gamut from excessively oily to blotchy dry and all of the combos in between in a single year) and 2. You'll get a lot for your money. You will have to go to a dept store and have one of the nice sales girls advise you on the best skin care regimen and product line and allow this to be your contact person as you grow into your later teen and young woman years. They will remember you as you change products as you age and your skin personality changes and will love to help you with any and all dermatological questions that you will have as your skin changes and becomes balanced.

Hope this helps sweetie and don't forget to post your final decision and how it works out for you. There will be many girls after you who have the same question who will greatly value your advise ;-)

Have a pleasant day dear :-)
oh.. One more thing.. Clinique is one of the top (in my book) because they have been known to use a great deal of plant based items.. Speaking if that.. Google natural skin care. Many things we simply consume on a daily basis cam have the same effect as topical treatments

Sandra asks…

Does anyone here use shiseido?

I'm wondering if the Japanese brand that makes makeup/skincare products are good quality? Has anyone ever used them?

Joann answers:

I love Shiseido, but I mostly use their fragrances and skincare products, and MAC makeup (I love the colors and it's a bit cheaper). They make great perfumes and the Pureness moisturiser is the best I've ever used:

Linda asks…

What is a good under eye cream? Please recommend?

I've tried:
-Shiseido (Benefiance, The skincare, Bio performance)
-Clarins
-Biotherm
-Chanel
AND they all are too oily!! Any recommendations anyone?

Joann answers:

Use a gel/cream formula not a cream in a pot -what Biotherm one did you try ? They do have some light ones. Lancome High Resolution Colaser 48 is amazing !
